Located at the edge of the French Quarter, this historic hotel holds true to the Crescent City’s vibrant culture. On Friday afternoon, we will host our close friends and family in the Courtyard for an intimate traditional Jewish Ceremony. Transitioning into the evening, we will host all our guests for Mehndi/Sangeet in the Lafayette Ballroom with dinner and dancing.

As traditional Indian weddings do, Alex and his family will make their way down Canal Street in a procession called the Baraat. Following the Baraat, we ask you to join us in completing our union during the Hindu Ceremony held in the Lafayette Ballroom. To close out the weekend festivities, the formal Reception will follow in the Grand Ballroom with dinner and dancing.

Colors to Avoid:
Please do not wear White to any of the events.
Ladies, please do not wear Navy for Mehndi/Sangeet.
Ladies, please do not wear Black for the Hindu Ceremony.
The weekend will be filled with vibrant colors and a lot of culture! As a guest, it is your option to either dress in a traditional Indian outfit or black tie optional. If you would like to wear an Indian outfit, but need some additional help or advice, don’t hesitate to contact us. We are always happy to point you in the right direction. Gentlemen, a tuxedo is not required, your suit is perfectly acceptable.
For those new to Hindu customs, there are a few pointers we can give now. Please avoid wearing the colors black or white to the Hindu Ceremony as both colors are not auspicious. Men are able to wear black suits. And, traditionally, brides wear red for the wedding ceremony itself. We are always here to answer any questions, so if you have any, please give either of us a call!
